Westmoreland Sanctuary was established in 1957 as a not-for-profit organization with the purposes of establishing and maintaining a nature sanctuary for the benefit and enjoyment of the public and of promoting conservation. The property consists of deciduous and mixed forest types, ponds, streams, and swamps on 630 acres. Trails are open dawn to dusk year-round. The focal point of the sanctuary is the nature museum. Museum hours are 9-5 Monday through Saturday and 10:30-5 on Sunday. Check our website for the calendar of weekend public programs.
