Our curriculum is based on the Montessori Method for early childhood education
Montessori curriculum - Our curriculum is based on the Montessori Method for early childhood education. We provide a warm, exciting and stimulating learning environment for our children. Our children enjoy working with the Montessori materials, the cylinder blocks, the sandpaper letters, dressing frames and other self-correcting Montessori learning materials. We also have a unique way for the children to exercise - we incorporate juggling ribbons, bicycle riding, dancing ribbons, hula hoops, yoga, kite flying (weather permitting), balancing beams and other exciting activities into our exercise program. The Worthington Nursery is a place of enjoyment for the children, where learning takes place in a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment.

Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Our business was opened in 2010.
What is your primary product or service?
Education - a Montessori preschool or nursery school.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Because of the need for an affordable Montessori preschool. I chose to use the Montessori Method for early childhood education in my nursery school because it fosters the joy of learning in children. The materials are self-correcting, and the children learn at their own pace -- each child is unique. My undergrad degree is in law and early childhood education.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are an affordable Montessori school. Most Montessori schools are extremely costly and not affordable to the average family. By keeping our cost down, we are able to offer the same curriculum that is offered at the more expensive prep school for a fraction of the cost. Your child benefits from a Montessori curriculum without placing a major financial burden on the family.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location in the White Plains area, and hope to expand to several other locations in the near future.
